Speak Loudly with a Soft Voice

You do not need to be loud, agressive or in someone’s face to get your point heard.  This is even more true when it comes to having a strong opinion about a particular cause or platform.

As your mitzvah project, why not take a stance on an issue, promote a cause near and dear to your heart or choose from one of the following:

Gun Control, Eating Disorders, Israel, Jewish Genetic Diseases, Regular Heart Screenings, Saving the Planet, Marriage Equality, Anti-Bullying, Fracking, Immigration, etc.

Follow the 3 steps below to amplify your cause, whether you speak at 100 decibels (as loud as a jack-hammer) or are gentle-voiced.
1.  Research the organization(s) which have the most valuable information about your issue.  Get facts and figures, speak to the Executive Director (by phone, email or text) and explore political discussions lawmakers are having with the public.

2.   How do you best communicate? Use your favorite communication tools to amplify your voice.  Enlist your friends, family and school to hear all about your cause through a homemade video, online petition, Facebook/Instagram posts or other communication resources.

3.  Contact the local news and let them know about your campaign for this cause.  There’s online media– a local Patch newspaper, print media —your town’s local paper, and cable news–your school’s tv channel or the local tv station news.

Send www.themitzvahbowl.com details about your campaign and we can help amplify your cause or platform on our blog!  info@themitzvahbowl.com.

Don’t forget–you can speak loudly even with a soft voice.
