Feeding South Florida’s mission is to end hunger in South Florida by providing immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts, and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.  Feeding South Florida (FSF) is one of 202 food banks comprising the Feeding America network nationwide. We are the leading domestic hunger relief organization in South Florida, serving Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, and Monroe Counties through a network of nonprofit partner agencies, including soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters, group homes, and other emergency food service programs. Without the generosity of the community, we would not be able to distribute almost 3 million pounds of food and grocery products per month to those in need.
As a mitzvah project you may volunteer at our facility.  Inspect and check all of our rescued and recovered food to ensure its safety. Sort and categorize food with like items. Then repackage food into boxes in order to prepare it for distribution into the community. No children under the age of 12; children 12-16 require parental supervision. Days: Tuesday through Saturday
Times: 8:30 am to 11:00 am & 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm

Or you may start your own food drive.  Register your food drive with us and we send you our Food Drive Donor Kit that includes a list of top needed items, signs for your collection vessels, and a list of Q&As, and a staff member to help along the way. Please contact Feeding South Florida’s Development Coordinator, Nataly Ramirez at 954.518.1825 or via email.
