Kesem is a nationwide community, driven by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent’s cancer. By offering innovative, fun-filled programs that foster a lasting community, we aim to ensure that every child affected by a parent’s cancer is never alone. Camp Kesem University of Pennsylvania will open its arms to around 120 Philadelphia and NJ area campers. Camp Kesem is open to all children aged 6-16 affected by a parent’s cancer regardless of race, religion, economic standing, or background.

The campers who attend have the unique opportunity to develop friendships with others facing similar challenges, build confidence and gain a support network of over 65 caring, well-trained volunteer counselors…a gift that lasts far beyond their week at camp.

Since our camp is free for participating families, we rely on support from our valued friends and family in order to make camp possible. We currently need to raise $75,000 by the end of July, 2016 in order to give these kids a magical week.
We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to host a fundraiser to help us raise money for our Camp Kesem at University of Pennsylvania.
These can include:
– Bake sale at your school or neighborhood to help spread awareness and funds
– We can set up a fundraising page for you that you can share with all of your friends
– Host a donation drive at your school for supplies at camp
– Other creative ideas?? Please email us!
