Mitzvah Monday Submitted by Exceptional Events

For the last two years, Julia has been volunteering with the Special Olympics Aquatics Program. Each Thursday night, from October to April, she works in the water with children and adults with various physical and mental  disabilities.  She has made significant progress in teaching one boy how to swim and feel safe and confident in the water.  Julia plans to donate a portion of her Bat Mitzvah gifts to help with expenses associated with the annual swim meet in April.
