Halloween is one of the most important events in a young child’s life.  It provides lifelong memories, develops self-worth, and allows kids to play an active role in their community. Unfortunately, many children are unable to participate in this fun, annual experience because they do not have a costume. Halloween Helpers provides low-income children with a Halloween costume thus making this a day of life-long memories.

Volunteer Opportunity: Hold a costume drive at your school, business, camp, scout troop, special event, religious activity or organization.  For a mitzvah project, help distribute and/or retrieve costume collection boxes, sort and label costumes, or help out at one of our mid-October costume distribution events.  Partner with other businesses who can help provide trick-or-treat bags, healthy single-serving snacks or halloween make-up as part of your community service project.

Time:  Any time July through October
