Gift of Life Family House serves as a “home away from home” for transplant patients and their families by providing temporary, affordable lodging, meals and supportive services to those who travel to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for transplant-related care. Gift of Life Family House is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization.

Here’s what you can do for a mitzvah project or high school service project:

Have a Staff/Student Dress Down Day: Everyone loves an excuse to wear
jeans or hats! Have staff, faculty or students donate $5 to the Family House so
they can dress down for a cause! We’ll provide the green bracelets for those who donated so everyone knows they are allowed to dress down.
Help Change Lives Coin Collection: We can provide you with Help Change Lives containers that you and your friends and family can fill up
with all their spare change. Each coin collected helps support our families.

Be a Home Cook Hero: Groups of up to 10 people are able to provide, prepare (on or off site), serve and clean up a meal for the guests staying at the Family
House. This is a very rewarding opportunity and the impact of your service on our families will be seen and felt first-hand.
Host a Wish List Drive: Keeping our House stocked with basic home necessities requires a lot of donated food and supplies. Every few months, we update our wish
list of needed items – food, household goods, sample size toiletries and office supplies.

Come up with an idea of your own. We love creativity with teen volunteers and would be happy to work with you. Please contact Sara Cohen at scohen@giftoflifefamilyhouse.org or visit www.GiftofLifeFamilyHouse.org
