The Philly Friendship Circle connects teens and young adults to youth with special needs and their families through a full range of social offerings. Inspired by the power of genuine friendships, our youth cultivate understanding, kindness and responsibility while ensuring a caring and inclusive community.

Mitzvah project or community service project volunteer opportunity:

The Mitzvah Volunteer Program (MVP) is a 6 week program developed for 6th and 7th graders. Through activities, games, and multimedia presentations, MVP participants will learn appropriate conduct when volunteering, the importance of giving back to the community and the impact you can have on others. In addition to participating in our MVP curriculum, MVP participants and parents will coordinate and plan a culminating event for our Friendship Circle children and their families giving  your child hands-on volunteer experience.

MVP is great as a standalone Bar/Bat Mitzvah Project. It also gives teens a foundation to become a Friendship Circle Volunteer.   Hopefully, this will be the first of many programs they will continue attending throughout the school year.

Please contact The Philly Friendship Circle for details, dates and more information about upcoming MVP sessions.
