Soccer for Peace exists to unite children of war-torn regions through their shared love of sports. Our programming occurs in Israel and consists of soccer camps and after school programs for Arab and Jewish children, always represented in equal number. We aim to work with 10-13 year olds who for practical reasons tend to live within close geographic proximity. The programs themselves consist of three components: Athletic, Educational and Social, all of which have integrity as a core value. Since you cannot control what happens years down the road, all you can control is the quality and sincerity of your effort. We are extremely proud of our programs and believe that by bringing kids together, in a common love, we can break barriers organically and sustainability.

Soccer for Peace promotes shared society in Israel through operating joint soccer and dialogue activities for Arab and Jewish children in Israel; participants learn to recognize each others’ humanity, thereby creating a context in which dialogue and mutual understanding can be reached.
Soccer for Peace also brings American B’nai Mitzvah youth closer to Israel through our grassroots Mitzvah Project Program in which youth develop fundraising activities for the benefit of Soccer for Peace.

Through Soccer for Peace’s Mitzvah Project Program, American Bar and Bat Mitzvah youth develop fundraising activities for the benefit of Soccer for Peace, often visiting our programming in Israel to participate in camp. The program provides the youth, many of whom are heavily committed to soccer, a way in which to connect to Israel in a meaningful way. In addition, it helps the children understand that despite the complexities of the security and peace situation in Israel, there are ways to work towards a solution which they can be a part of.
