Lemons Sweeten These Lives

lemon ballThe 8th Annual Lemon Ball was held on January 11th to commemorate Alex Scott and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, and with the help of over 900 guests was able to raise close to $900,000. A rousing live auction combined with the funds raised from the Fund a Cure portion of the evening resulted in guests raising more than $160,000 in a matter of minutes. This money will help to fund thousands of hours of pediatric cancer research looking for better treatments and cures for all children with cancer. Sweet and inspirational participation came from a number of childhood cancer heroes who either presented awards, helped during the silent auction or gave “high fives” to bidders during Fund a Cure. These heroes provided guests with a personal glimpse of the impact and importance of their support of childhood cancer.

You can make a meaningful difference in the battle against childhood cancer by holding an Alex’s Lemonade Stand during National Lemonade Days, June 6-8, 2014. Commemorating the time of year when ALSF founder Alex Scott held her annual lemonade stand, National Lemonade Days is an annual June tradition that raises over $1 million for childhood cancer research through thousands of stands and activities held across the country. It is free to participate and all you have to do is register here to receive your fundraising kit and tips to help you along the way! If you are not able to host your own event you we can provide you with fliers to help spread awareness in your community!
