Ahava’s mission is to promote English Literacy in Israel. For many children in Israel’s periphery English is difficult to master. Unlike their more privilieged counterparts in the center of the country, they do not have easy access to affordable quality afterschool lessons. A.H.A.V.A. bridges this gap with affordable lessons, teacher training, an annual Readathon, English libraries, etc…

For your mitzvah project, A.H.A.V.A. offers teens a chance to join us in our annual Readathon, reading & fundraising at the same time as our Israeli children.
Books can be collected at a B’nai Mitzvah event to help us in our library building.
Small toys and games can be collected to help us teach.
Bake sales or car washes can help us finance our professional library or Scholarship Fund.
If you are travelling to Israel, books can be delivered to our offices for use for the following year.
