This is not your typical Box-Top drive

We all like cereal, right?  Well how about a way for your empty boxes to go to good use!

Nut-free empty cereal boxes are being collected for a local charity, The Giving Tree, based in the Ambler, PA area. The boxes are then assembled with arts & crafts items inside, wrapped in white paper and decorated by children with happy pictures and messages for the recipients.
These boxes become a part of a special project benefiting children in local pediatric wards, foster care situations, the Ronald McDonald House, & other unfortunate circumstances.
What a great way to bring a smile to a child!

Here’s how you can help:
1. If you live in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas, contact The Giving Tree via email  doris@givingtreefamilies.org to arrange empty nut-free cereal box donations.
They have also created an event where you may drop off cereal box collections on November 8, 2014, 10-2pm at Wissahickon Middle School, Ambler, Pa.  Email info@givingtreefamilies.org.

2.  Start a similar project in your area by scouting out organizations which benefit children-in-need.  See if the Cereal Project would work for them!
