Our mission is to utilize the game of basketball as the vehicle to promote education, reinforce values and provide our youth with a safe environment to PLAY, LEARN and GROW.
The ultimate goal of our programming is to provide structured, youth-centered activities which will provide participants with the skills and mindset to lower the ever-growing poverty rate, promote healthy living and focus on the rewards of academic success, developing leadership skills and building constructive relationships within the family, community and society as a whole. We use the power of “teams” as a conduit to mentor, teach, train, empower and enrich the lives of the youth in our communities.
Rising Stars will provide promotional materials and support to help you organize a basketball fundraiser tournament in your community. We have all the ideas to help you! All you need is a hoop, a ball and a whole lot of friends! All the money you raise will go directly to help underprivileged youth play basketball and attend high quality schools.
Contact us for other opportunities such as weekly peer tutoring in a subject you excel at. Tutoring can be done in-person if you live in the NY area or by SKYPE if you live in another location.
