Fox Chase Cancer Center’s mission is to prevail over cancer, marshaling heart and mind in bold scientific discovery, pioneering prevention, and compassionate care.
We are looking for student ambassadors to start fundraising teams for the 19th Annual Paws for the Cause. Fundraising efforts may include bake sales, craft sales, garage sales, email campaigns to build a team or more. On Sunday, October 21, 2018, Fox Chase Cancer Center will host the event – a one-mile walk around the Fox Chase Cancer Center campus. In addition to the walk, participants will enjoy food, music, pet photos, contests, vendors, entertainment for children and much more all to raise money for cancer research. To date, Paws for the Cause has raised more than $400,000!
Fox Chase Cancer Center, part of the Temple University Health System, is committed clinical excellence, research expertise, and community health earned us a National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation as one of the first comprehensive cancer centers in the country and one of only 49 in the nation to earn this full designation by the federal government’s principal agency for cancer research and training. At Fox Chase, we diagnose and treat every kind of cancer and offer adult patients state-of-the-art and best practice treatments as well as clinical trials to cure their cancer.
There are lots of ways to volunteer for your community service or mitzvah project and raise money for Fox Chase!
* Host a lemonade stand at a popular school or community event by registering here
* Set up a virtual event and host a series of smaller fundraisers over the course of a few months. Fundraisers could include fundraising nights at restaurants, after-school pizza sales, and emailing family and friends from around the world the link to your event.
* Play a sport? Take pledges in the beginning of the season for every save you make, point you score, or yard you gain.
*Or you could come up with your own event! A bake sale, a walk-a-thon, a birthday party…we love any and all creativity.
