Our mission is to give all kids the lifelong benefits of sport and physical activity by providing equipment, apparel and footwear to those most in need. We believe that no child should sit on the sidelines. And we find that the cost of equipment is a major catalyst as to which kids play and those who do not.

Good Sports works directly with the sporting goods industry to obtain a variety of athletic gear, apparel and footwear. Only new athletic equipment is donated to youth programs throughout the country. Since 2003, Good Sports has donated over $55 million in sports gear, impacting over 7 million kids nation-wide. Our slogan is #KidsWhoPlayDoBetter because sports and physical activities are beneficial to how our kids grow and learn.

A mitzvah project with Good Sports is an easy fundraising opportunity. Using our donor tool Equip-A-Kid (www.goodsports.org/equipakid), upcoming bar or bat mitzvahs can direct their friends and family to make a donation in their name. People can pledge towards pieces of equipment for their favorite sports. Equip-A-Kid offers a variety of different activities, including general fitness, soccer, and boxing. The graphics make it fun for anyone, as well as incredibly easy.
