Lemons Sweeten These Lives

The 8th Annual Lemon Ball was held on January 11th to commemorate Alex Scott and Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, and with the help of over 900 guests was able to raise close to $900,000. A rousing live auction combined with the funds raised from the Fund a Cure portion of the evening resulted in guests raising more than $160,000 in a matter of minutes. This money will help to fund thousands of hours of pediatric cancer research looking for better treatments and cures for all children with cancer. Changing Childhood Cancer Project

Wondering how much of a difference a child can make? Well, if Alex Scott is any indicator, a pretty big one. When Alex was just 4 years old, she decided she wanted to set-up a lemonade stand to help kids like herself who had cancer.
