Project H.O.P.E. Helping Our People Everywhere. In its 20th year, Project HOPE delivers Kosher for Passover food on the Sunday before Passover, April 9, 2017, to 625 of our most needy, elderly and isolated Jewish families in the Philadelphia community. Many Jews who cannot afford special holiday foods depend on B’nai B’rith Project HOPE to provide matzoh and the other Passover staples. To these people the remembrance and visit is often as special as the needed food. Volunteers and their families are needed to deliver to these recipients. B’nai B’rith Project H.O.P.E. (Helping Our People Everywhere) 3213 Burn Brae Drive, Dresher, PA 19025 Contact: Samuel Domsky, Chair samuel@netreach.net Project H.O.P.E. works with the community family service agencies and local Jewish social services and with B’nai B’rith members and synagogue volunteers. Jewish organizations provide the lists of people who need packages and the facilities for collecting, storing, and packing the food. B’nai B’rith volunteers assemble and deliver the packages. Begun in New York, the program has spread to Boston, Philadelphia, Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Last year in Philadelphia, 540 families received Passover food.
