Mitzvah Monday Submitted by Exceptional Events

For the last two years, Julia has been volunteering with the Special Olympics Aquatics Program. Each Thursday night, from October to April, she works in the water with children and adults with various physical and mental  disabilities.  She has made significant progress in teaching one boy how to swim and feel safe and confident in the water.  Julia plans to donate a portion of her Bat Mitzvah gifts to help with expenses associated with the annual swim meet in April. Julia’s Bat Mitzvah was 3/15/14. This Mitzvah Monday posting was submitted by:  Stacey Kesselman, Exceptional Events find us on facebook ~ […]

I also created a bracelet honoring the National Kidney Foundation.  I will give this bracelet out at my Bat […]

Two Friends with One Awesome Project! Jason Paul and Danny Cooper play basketball together on 3 different teams this year. So we came up with a game for their mitzvah projects. The boys played 10 games of basketball to raise money for their charities. If friends and family wanted to play along they were asked to donate by the point, if not they could just make a one-time donation.  Numerous people chose to play the game by points, creating more of a challenge for the boys’ game. Ultimately, and coincidentally, Jason and Danny each scored 82 points in 10 games for […]
