Lids for Kids

Aidan will be celebrating his bar mitzvah on October 17, 2015. As part of his year-long preparation for his bar mitzvah, he is undertaking a mitzvah project to help others called “Lids for Kids.” He wanted to do a program that he could have a personal connection with. Since he loves to collect baseball hats (and play baseball), he thought it would be a great idea to collect new snapback hats to donate to children undergoing cancer treatment at our local Children’s Hospital at Sinai. . This is not your typical Box-Top drive

We all like cereal, right?  Well how about a way for your empty boxes to go to good use! Nut-free empty cereal boxes are being collected for a local charity, The Giving Tree, based in the Ambler, PA area. The boxes are then assembled with arts & crafts items inside, wrapped in white paper and decorated by children with happy pictures and messages for the recipients. These boxes become a part of a special project benefiting children in local pediatric wards, foster care situations, the Ronald McDonald House, & other unfortunate circumstances.
