When Alex and Sydney Vogel thought about what their Mitzvah project would be, they lost no time in deciding that it would be to help Homefront –an organization in Mercer County, NJ which works to break the cycle of homelessness. The children who are housed at the Family Preservation Center (FPC) at Homefront are often frightened, having experienced things in their short lives that no child should ever have to endure. Liza Peck, Volunteer Coordinator for HomeFrontNJ.org, an organization dedicated to ending homelessness, was excited to send themitzvahbowl.com this story about a recent mitzvah project. Jared loves art and wanted to bring the joy of art to kids who may not be able to afford it on their own. He named his project heART for HomeFront.
